Android Call Forwarding Guide
Forward missed or unanswered calls from your Android phone to your LeadSMS number in under 5 minutes.
⚠️ Important
Do NOT use “Always forward” . That forwards all calls to LeadSMS immediately and your phone will not ring.
Step 1: Open call forwarding settings
Follow the steps for your phone:
Samsung (most common)
- Open the Phone app
- Tap the three dots (top right)
- Tap Settings
- Tap Supplementary services
- Tap Call forwarding
Google Pixel
- Open the Phone app
- Tap Settings
- Tap Calling accounts
- Tap Call forwarding
Other Android phones
- Open the Phone app
- Tap Settings
- Tap Call forwarding (or “More settings”)
Step 2: Choose when calls should forward
Set your LeadSMS number for these options:
Forward when unanswered
Forward when busy
Forward when unreachable
This ensures you still receive normal calls, but missed calls are captured.
Step 3: Enter your LeadSMS number
Enter the number shown in your dashboard:
Step 4: If you can’t find the menu (use dial codes)
You can manually enable forwarding by typing these into your keypad:
Forward when unanswered: **61*[number]#
Forward when busy: **67*[number]#
Forward when unreachable: **62*[number]#
Set ring time (optional)
Control how long your phone rings before forwarding:
This gives 20 seconds before the call is treated as missed.
Step 5: Test it
Call your number from another phone and let it ring out. You should see the missed call appear in your LeadSMS dashboard within seconds.
Common issues
Settings menu not visible
Use the dial codes in Step 4 instead, some carriers hide call forwarding menus.
Calls still go to voicemail
Increase ring time or disable voicemail via your mobile carrier.
Codes not working
Make sure you include full international format (+44...) and press call after entering.
Nothing appears in dashboard
Run *#61# to confirm forwarding is active.
